Ascent Soccer
Lilongwe, Malawi
Ascent Soccer's (formally known as Chigoli) goal is to give young people a future and create role models for generations to come. In practice, this means Ascent Soccer invests deeply in their players’ lives. They provide training, fund their education, and offer nutritional and emotional support to help them fulfill their potential. In addition to the Academy, Ascent operates a vibrant community program supporting disadvantaged groups in Malawi through football tournaments, including street children, the blind and refugees. RV United
Cape Town, South Africa
An all-girls soccer club in Khayelitsha, an enormous township outside of Cape Town. RV United's senior team plays in the second highest division of women's soccer in South Africa. Past Woza South Africa trips have trained with RV United, donated equipment to the club and fundraised towards specific projects (such as jerseys for the senior team and team operational costs). Mtuba Football Academy
Mtubatuba, South Africa
Mtuba Footbal Acadmey (MFA) is a Zulu soccer academy located two hours north of Durban and just inland from the beautiful Indian Ocean in KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa. MFA is run by Woza's original partner Sheldon Hughes, and works with over 150 players each week, teaching both soccer and life skills. Woza supported MFA through gear donations and funding for specific projects, such as transportation for players to return home at night after practice.
Football for Life
Mtubatuba, South Africa
With football as a tool, Football for Life works to strengthen young girls' self-esteem and self-confidence in South Africa. They run holiday camps for female players from across rural Zululand. They fill their programming with a balance of soccer training and life skills curriculum.
Peruvian Hearts
Cusco, Peru
Peruvian Hearts encourages social, economic, and political change in Peru through the education and empowerment of young women. Peruvian Hearts works to end poverty and gender inequality by educating young women and creating community leaders in Peru. They enable young women to embrace education, believe in their own power, and dream of a life beyond the conditions into which they were born. Peruvian Hearts empowers young women and enables them to reach their full potential by combining enhanced educational opportunities along with mentorship and participation in service and structured empowerment classes to provide the knowledge and skills necessary for these young women to rise up and break the cycle of poverty.

Roberto Wong Futbol Academy (Formerly PFC)
Puntarenas, Costa Rica
Roberto Wong Futbol Academy is run by Roberto Wong, a former star for Puntarenas Futbol Club. The academy offers soccer clinics and tournaments for local players and many Woza groups enjoyed playing with academy players and supporting Roberto's inspiring initiatives. This relationship also results in donated equipment and financial support for the academy's youth programs.
Grassroot Soccer
Cape Town, South Africa
One of the world's leading organizations in the Sport for Development and Peace (SDP) movement, Grassroots Soccer (GRS) uses the power of soccer to educate, inspire, and mobilize communities to stop the spread of HIV. Woza staff members have been involved with GRS for over five years, and since 2014, Woza itself has been a part of collaborative initiatives to allow high school soccer players to see firsthand the work GRS does in South Africa.
