Hannah Mikles
Hometown: Chico,CA
College:San Francisco State University
Born and raised in Chico, California, Hannah graduated in 2016 with an Anthropology degree from San Francisco State University. Growing up playing center mid-field, Hannah captained both her high school and college teams. Hannah has always had a passion for traveling and took this to heart during her college years traveling to Europe for a month on a solo trip.
In 2015, Hannah traveled to Granada, Nicaragua with Soccer Without Borders (SWB) using soccer to empower young women in Nicaragua. Before leading in 2018, Hannah traveled to Uganda with SWB.
Hannah was managing a restaurant in San Francisco and coached u8, u12 and u14 girls soccer for a nonprofit program called Girls Leading Girls (GLG). GLG is an all-female club focusing on using soccer to teach life skills such as leadership, teamwork, and confidence to young women. She loves using soccer as a way to bring different cultures, ideas, and skillsets together.
Currently, Hannah is living in Costa Rica where she is playing for a semi-professional soccer team, a connection she found through her time with Woza in Costa Rica.
