  Edgar Arceo  

Edgar teaches at the Thacher School in Ojai, California, as a Fisher Fellow, where he teaches Psychology and Spanish, coaches soccer, and serves as a house advisor.  

 

Originally from Bishop, California, Edgar is a 2015 graduate of Kenyon College. While attending Kenyon, Edgar studied psychology and philosophy and played for the Kenyon Lords, where he captained the men’s soccer team to their first NCAC Conference title during his senior year. Since graduating, Edgar has worked primarily in the education sector as a tutor, substitute teacher, lead teacher, and a college teaching assistant. 

 

Leading for two summers with Woza, Edgar loved his experience of traveling to Malawi and Peru. He writes "my favorite thing about Woza is spending the entire summer with such incredible, fun-loving Woza leaders and players! Just witnessing the powerful way soccer allows us to connect to each other as a group… to our partners as a global community… it’s one of the most glorious moments I have experience as a soccer player.”
